Another Unidesk customer is in the news as a result of their successful application and desktop virtualization deployment. TechTarget SearchDisasterRecovery just published "Health Network Labs doubles up for disaster recovery" detailing how the Pennsylvania-based diagnostic testing center has implemented best-in-class VDI with Unidesk for application and image management. VDI and other virtual workloads are so critical that Health Network Labs has created a mirrored environment with technologies from Cisco, Citrix, EMC, Imprivata, Unidesk, and VMware to ensure availability.Healthcare VDI, Unidesk Customers, Tech Target | Read this post >

This is part 1 of a 2-part blog series. The first gives an overview of USF Health’s 3,000 user Epic and VDI rollout. The second summarizes the business benefits that USF Health is now realizing.
Giving care providers mobile access to Epic EMR and hundreds of other key apps can be a real IT challenge when every group has unique requirements. This is why many healthcare organizations are using VDI with Unidesk application management to enhance provider access to clinical apps, comply with HIPAA and meaningful use mandates, and enable clinicians to spend more time on patient care and less time on logins.
USF Health is one such organization. We featured them in our Customer Success webinar series to find out the technologies and strategies their two-person end user computing team is using to efficiently scale VDI and Epic, and keep 3,000 users happy. This blog summarizes what they told the audience.Healthcare VDI, USF Health, Unidesk Customers, Epic EMR | Read this post >
USF Health in Florida and Lakeland Health in Michigan are both using virtual desktops as the delivery vehicle for Epic EMR and other clinical applications to their 3,000 physicians, nurses, and staff.
While one uses VMware Horizon and vSphere and the other Citrix XenDesktop and Microsoft Hyper-V for desktop virtualization, both have standardized on the same solution for application management: Unidesk.
The end user computing architects at both institutions recently shared their project goals, designs, and implementation strategies in separate webinars attended by nearly 1,000 healthcare IT professionals.
