VMworld Perspectives: University Explains How Unidesk Simplifies App Management in VDI

Posted by Meghan Simmons on Sep 9, 2016

Last week at VMworld, we had the opportunity to catch up with many of our customers. Some just stopped by to say hi. Some gave presentations on their successful Unidesk deployments in our booth theater. Others came by to talk about the new Unidesk 4 release that won a Best of VMworld 2016 award. And others hung around to talk with attendees about how much time Unidesk has saved them and how easy Unidesk makes app packaging and image management in their VDI and Citrix XenApp environments. A few even pushed Unidesk staff out of the way and began conducting product demos on their own!

Eamon Bauman, System Administrator at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, did all of the above. He also spoke on camera about the value Unidesk brings to the university's VDI deployment for Residence Life students and staff. Watch the video to hear Eamon speculate on what life would be like without Unidesk, and find out how Unidesk has made application and image management so easy that students are now responsible for day-to-day management.
