During my career, I’ve always had a passion for technology and a commitment to help people move forward and find the right solution. I consulted and taught Microsoft and Novell certifications for almost 10 years. I found when I taught for too long I missed getting my hands on technology, and when I consulted too long, I missed presenting.
For the past 11 years, I worked at Microsoft, the last 8 of those in the desktop virtualization space. I had the privilege to work on some great projects with some great people:
- Updated the RDS Management UI for Windows Server 2012 (Remote Desktop Management Services, or RDMS)
- Helped create the Remote Desktop Services technical overview for Windows Server 2008 R2 to increase adoption
- Worked on the alternate platform Remote Desktop applications for iOS, Android and Mac, and contributed to the agile updates of those clients
- Worked on the UI, workflow and content for Azure RemoteApp
At the beginning of this year, I had time to reflect and really thought about my next step.
The last 2 years at Microsoft I had the opportunity to work with some great partners and one of them consistently rose to the top - Unidesk. I was impressed by their passion, technology and ability to get stuff done.
At events I noticed customers would come and volunteer at their booth, and I wondered what kind of company engenders that type of loyalty?
Working with different people from Unidesk over the last 2 years, I found out their software wasn’t just a promise. The cool stuff they said worked, actually did. Their application layering technology is delivering today what others are only promising.
Unidesk has a solution that actually does what they say it will, and really enables the customer to manage their digital workspace. The Unidesk folks I've met go out of their way to help you. A great solution that works, and people who care, who wouldn't want to work here?
I’m ecstatic . . . seriously, to now be part of the Unidesk team as the Director of Product Marketing. You’ll be hearing a lot more from me in this space. I want to hear from you. What do you need to transform app delivery for your digital workspace?
If you see me at an event, come say hi, you’ll recognize me, I’m the guy in the hat.
